What women influcened your life?
The two women who impacted my life the most was my mother and my grandmother. Even when times were hard, I saw insurmountable strength. I saw the effort through them to keep our families together no matter what. I hope to be like them and pass those qualities along to all of our women.

What can we do to enhance the culture between women?
I think one thing we can do to enhance the culture between ourselves is to always encourage one another and lift one another up. This is so important. There’s enough in this world bringing us down. We need to be a source of refreshment among each other.

My name is Latanya Shotwell Shore, the celebrity event planner and creative designer for Wells Design Co. I specialize in color aesthetic along with the ability to customize weddings and social lifestyle events. Being the confident creative that I have found myself to be, means owning the unique vision that is imagined or presented in my dreams without the concern of validation.
Being true to ones self and earning the trust of followers has become the key to becoming influential. Authenticity is the new currency in the world of influencers.

Ali Manning
My journey to getting back to me has led me to explore all of the interests I thought I had forgotten. I grew up as a shy kid in Huntsville, AL but always had a passion for creative arts and sports. Now, I’ve managed to combine all of my interests into a profession, and I love it!
I am a lifestyle and food influencer located in Memphis, TN with a passion for food, skating, style, and so much more! I am interested in partnering with local and national brands in fashion, beauty, community, and, of course, FOOD! I dream big and seek to find joy daily. “Carpe Diem!”

What women influcened your life?
Every woman I’ve encountered has influenced my life because they’ve confirmed, taught, and shown me how to be all that we are. We are far too complex yet we become docile. Our world tells us to be small, but we (women) are Mighty. My lineage is stocked strong with a myriad of women. I have seen just about it all, and what’s great is, my mom started it all.

What type of influence would you like to have?
My “influence” is through my art. My art happens to be in multi-forms (science, writing, dance, teaching, skating, etc.) I share my joy, because it helps me heal. I can only hope that through my unique storytelling and creativity, the message of hope can arise. I stretch, therefore I grow. I teach because I desire to know. —-
It’s imperative for women to know that We can be and do whatever our hearts (and dreams) desire. So, that’s what I hope my influence will inspire.✨ Carpe diem

What can we do to enhance the culture between women?
We are a community that has dealt with an impudent trauma. Yet, history tells we are resilient and over-comers. Truth and honesty will enhance the culture, but we’ve got to somehow remove fear as the supreme vulture. It is a daily walk and it’s something that doesn’t transform overnight. However, I think our community is on the right path through meaningful dialogue, community events and opportunities to gather. Let us all continue to learn from another. ♥️

What women influcened your life?
I come from a long line of extraordinary women, my mother, Shelia Burgess, my grandmother, Jean Carter, and my great-grandmother, Lucille Martin. I also surround myself with exemplary women on a daily basis. My friends are who lift me when I fall short and provide examples of greatness to strive for when I'm searching for inspiration.

What type of influence would you like to have?
I hope to be an example of a woman who ebbs and flows with what life hands her. An example of acknowledging all parts of the lived experience, whether it's hurt and pain or pride and joy. There's a need to do away with the "strong Black woman" trope and it's time to celebrate the "whole Black woman".

What's beautiful about womanhood?
Being a woman is everything to me. For me, the beautiful thing about womanhood is how multifaceted we are. Not only can we carry and bring life into the world, we have the ability to lead with love and care. We literally have the power to change everything in the blink of an eye. I also admire how we always rise to the occasion. Being a woman for me is power and I love being in charge.
What women influcened your life?
First my mom and my grandma. Knowing everything they faced in this life and watching their Faith in God keeps me humble, focus and grounded. I also admire my big cousin, Courtney. She was the first person I saw move away, grow and earn good money while still managing to be true to herself. Then there’s my mentor, Robin Sanders. Robin saw me and always created space for me to be loud, bold and joyful. With my mom at the forefront always speaking life into me and allowing me to explore and be great, I couldn’t let her down.

What type of influence would you like to have?
I want to help women become their own success story. I want women to say because fe was authentic or transparent or even unapologetic, I felt free to go after everything I desired. Influence, to me, is about providing value. I want young black girls from Memphis like me to know they can do it too.

What's beautiful about womanhood?
The community. Black women have a healing, uplifting energy that demands nothing but the best. It's an individualistic state of being respected in every facet of life. From fashion to politics, business, and literature, we take pride in being unapologetically ourselves. We learn from our past as we expand and make room for the future. It's remarkable to experience and see our ambitious womanhood in action.
What women influcened your life?
On the day I was born, I had over 300 years of collective wisdom to tap into for knowledge. The women in my family have been the most impactful to me. My mother, aunts, and five older sisters gave me the blueprint of what to expect. They taught me never to take anything but what I allow personally.

What type of influence would you like to have?
Returning home has opened my eyes to what people need to grow. Influence without knowledge can only go so far. I would rather be impactful, which requires work. In Memphis, we must plant seeds of possibility on cultivated soil and nurture them by watering them with hope and love. We must teach others and be a living example that better is possible.

What can we do to enhance the culture between women?
We have to normalize that unfavorable times are a part of every process. Every win comes with lessons, not losses. It's called learning. Through learning, we become wise, not with age or time. We can enhance the culture between women by having forums for all ages to come together and learn from each other.

In a world that often pressures us to conform, it's inspiring to see women who remain true to themselves and their passions.
carved their own path and are shining brightly as authentic and inspiring women leaders.

What can we do to enhance the culture between women?
The first thing we can do to enhance the culture between women is to be authentic with ourselves first. This ensures that the energy we gives to others has every opportunity to return to us with great intention. Speaking life is the best seed we can plant in another woman; the reward is watching the plants and flowers bloom as she waters her dreams.

What type of influence would you like to have?
To exhibit to women that we are essential. We are beautiful. We can accomplish whatever we set our minds to. Often times, in my field of expertise, I come across so many women who have low self esteem and they really don’t believe that they are beautiful and worth it. Many women suffer from body dysmorphia, meaning we see ourselves a certain way negatively but others see us in an amazing light.
My ministry is contributing to stopping that and really showing women that you are not “ugly”, you arms are not “flabby”’, you are not “fat”. You’re beautiful!

What can we do to enhance the culture between women?
Stop hating on each other! Share your resources and pour into each other instead of exhibiting the crabs in a barrel mentality. I see it often especially on social media where women are always tearing down another woman. We were all birthed from a woman. Why are we criticizing the very source that gave us life? A QUESTION THAT NEEDS TO BE ANSWERED! We are a culture in itself. Some of our rights regarding our bodies have been taken away from us by the government. We have to stick together not only for ourselves..but for the world. Remember, we are the resource of the world.
